    Default 1064-532 L Fold

    Hello everyone

I'm looking for a bit of advice with a rather ambitious ( for me ! )
    conversion project.

I have a Laser Quantum Elite 1064nm 10 watt head that I would like to
convert to a 532nm for laser show use.

    I have so far sourced

    1. AIRTRON LASERSCOPE HR LASER OPTIC MIRROR 532-1064nm

    2. HIGH POWER LASER CRYSTAL MOUNT ADJUSTABLE OVEN, PELTIER WITH LARGE LBO 1064nm 532nm + THERMISTOR

    3. COHERENT 532nm 1064nm LASER OPTIC CURVE OUTPUT MIRROR 1 INCH/
    25.4mm DIAMETER,27957 INCH/ 7.09mm THICKNESS , MIRROR IS >99.5%
REFLECTION AT 1064NM WITH 0° ANGLE OF INCIDENCE BEAM.

I do know I need a controller for the peltier oven , but I would like
try an l fold , so I need to change the Coherent mirror for a 45 deg
    one.

I have no clue about tec drivers. All help appreciated here !

I would be extremely grateful for any advice on this project.

Suggested layouts and equipment needed would be welcome.

I would like to fit the " l fold" inside the existing head, so small
is the order of the day.

Thank you for your kind attention

A get a good picture of the head looking streight down on it and dimentions would be good.

I would reccomend setting up on a optical table first because alignment within that small space will be a bitch!

As for the TEC driver, there are two ways to do it, a constant current, or active temperature control. The only thing that will fit in the head is the constant current, use a temp meter with the thermister to tune in the temp once then set the current with a high precision resistor.

I designed and built a TEC driver for my red lasers, it works well to cool or heat, with NTC resistor feedback so it maintain the set temp within 0.5°C all the time.
Just need +12V / 2A to supply it.

I have the components at home to build a second one, if you want I can sell it to you for a reasonnable cost.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Please have a look at the attached images.

Let me know what you think.

The head space ( ? ) is approx 100mm 200mm. The LIMO 808nm pump has an output of 35W operating at 42A. Max current is 50A. 20,000 hours life !

The head has a >7watt @1064nm label on the outside.

    Regards
