    Cool

    Paul;

    I think he meant that he just spent $1200 *buying* a bunch of mounts. I don't think they're broken, I just think he's a little miffed at spending that kind of money for something as mundane as a mirror mount.

    How many mounts did you buy, Dave? (And were they Newports?)

    Allthat- your new av reminds me of zap comix--anybody remember them--(you have to be old)

    Adam- i see youre logged in now- are there going to be any musicians at SELEM? I'd bring my electric gibson if we could arrange an impromptu jam session

    It's from a Pangolin Laser Show that's set to "Elevate" by U2. It's one of my favorite shows. (But you need a QM-2000 to run it; it won't run on my older QM-32.) Great show though. You'll see it at SELEM I'm sure.

    I must have missed your post by a couple seconds...
    I don't know if anyone is specifically planning to bring any equipment, but I don't see any reason why we couldn't. We've got the whole auditorium, after all.

    I've got a Gibson / Epiphone Les Paul special II... It's one of the *cheap* Les Pauls that are made overseas, not one of the really good ones that are made here. I'm not very good, mind you. (Actually I'm pretty terrible, to tell the truth!) But if there's interest in a mini-jam session I can bring my guitar and a small practice amp... I'm always up for another opportunity to make a fool of myself.

    Dave: 10 newport mounts for $120 each eh? Not really that bad of a price for some of their larger stuff. (They weren't MM1's, were they?)

    Making more money doing shows than selling gear, eh? Cool! Sounds like Australia has a booming laser show industry. (It figures that it would be half-way around the world from where I am...)

    Me too Adam! 2 guitars though would be sort of hum-drum, imo. If we had bass and drums and could mp3 all of each other w/ some tunes to be semi- rehearsed, that might be slightly more bearable for the members/ audience hehe

    Heh, Im a bassest...among other things
    Ive got quite a collection of guitars ask spec..he's seen em.
    Amongst my favorites is my '51 Fender squire 6string, washburn 12string and a 5 string Modulus. the rest (about 10) are whats left out of my collection of about 50.
    Anyhow, If I get to make it up there I'll bring the P bass along with a mini fender amp..If its got a beat, I can play it...yeah., thats something else I used to do in my younger years. Still trying to convince myself that arthritus
