All removable connections should be cleaned.

Post pics of the board. There may be a battery backed up NVRAM that is getting old. The big battery is for handling the cool down in the event of a power failure. Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with internal settings.

I also noticed that changing the current does not change the power smoothly.
The power reads 0.05 W (I think it is an error ) from 0 A up to ~ 22, then rises very slowly up to 0.2~ 0.3 W with the current increasing up to 25.2 A; after that, it jumps up to ~ 6 W. and I can get ~ 8.7 with current 26.6A After that I play with Etalon setting to reach 9W

Strange, why would they suggest such different temperatures for the FAP modules?
Re. the non-linearity in output power vs pumping current, I think it is more or less normal, but don't know to what extent.
Anyhow, this does not help you with your main issues which seem to be related to the controller electronics
    Good luck

    Hi
    Thank you!
    One more question.
I understood that you did use the GUI software from Coherent. Probably you can clarify following question.
I trace laser head and diode parameters with the program. The current I set in the main menu of the power supply is 26.7 A but the current "C" which displayed in the program is 25.0 A.
It looks to me strange, unless current "C" is not the current I set in the main menu of the power supply.
    Thanks

    1. I presume they store somewhere the service report for our system.
    2. The coherent service engineer pointed out that diodes getting older tend to lower operating temperature. Our system is actually old. Diode hours ~ 18K

    Default Diodes currents

    More general question.
How does the current from the main menu of the power supply correspond to the current of each diode?
Should it be the same currents +- delta we set in the diode delta current menu?
    Thanks

Yes the current readings/settings are confusing, my guess is what you are saying

    Hi,

Try these settings for the servo's.

And yes, all service reports are stored in the Coherent database.
Is the configuration for the power supply and head set to 10W - 2 diodes system?
You can change the current delta to see what value gives the most power (rollover power, in current mode).
If you found the ideal diode temperatures please send me the 2 values and I will give you the command to store these temperatures.
