Good luck man... I hope this one is easier to replace than your green.

That stinks that your laser has fallen off it's peak power. I had the same problem and he did replace/repair mine. I have had great service from David and just hope that he will take care of this problem of bad crystal coatings. It may be more to this than is at hand here. I like their lasers and hope they last a good long 8K hours or more. They are never abused in any way and always treated with the utmost in care and protection. I really hope they can clear up this problem and stay "in the good" with everyone. If a manu goes out ....that leaves the others to increase prices. Give him time.....maybe they have a viable solution that works for all involved.....
You are the only one that can make your dreams come true....and the only one that can stop them...A.M. Dietrich

I've just had an email from David at Lasever. He acknowledges a problem with a certain batch of blue lasers and has agreed to sort it out within a couple of weeks.
Please everyone - Don't start slinging mud at Lasever (just yet). I am simply posting my experiences here for the benefit of everyone on the group. So far, David has come through and corrected things for me. I have no reason to believe that it will be any different this time.
It IS disappointing though, but if Lasever can fix the problems and deal with their dissatisfied customers quickly and efficiently AND improve their quality control they deserve to be given a chance.
I'll keep everyone posted regarding my experiences.
Thanks
Jem
I second MechEng3 : great service from Lasever, I just received my tracking number for my repaired 200mW green laser. I think they just have big temporary problems (like Sony with their explosive notebook battery for example ), and so they are busy to repair a lot of lasers, so repair (and answer to mails) can take a long time...
I just hope Lasever will fix these problems and keep offering us their good lasers at unbeatable price, it is important for us hobbyist
Is the problem they are having related to the head or the PSU?

I quote from David's email...
"The batch of LSR473-200mw dropped power because the sealing of the laser is not good"
So, I guess it's the head then
Cheers
Jem
Hmmm.. interesting.
I hope he gets it worked out.
They are neat looking lasers.
