What do you mean by pumping diodes? Aren't pumping diodes the IR diodes in DPSS lasers?
What about fibers for the visible spectrum diodes?

And would you use singlemode fibers are multimode? Although I will be using low power single mode laser diodes I'm not sure a single mode fiber will affect the speckle pattern much.

... I meant the "pigtailed" pumping diodes for fiber-lasers:

... better use multimode fibers -- but this means only: search fibers with a core-diameter of 50 microns or more ...

Got it. Will post update when I get somewhere with this.
Somene else on reddit commented why he thinks the fiber is reducing speckle. It may have to do with the thermal movement doing the job of the mechanical movement in speckle reducers. Whatever that means.
