Old Pointer, Labbie, and LPM

The pointer is the Laserex LDP-100 from 1997. Old for sure. Vintage to a younger set I suppose. This is the fourth model pointer I have in the same host case, all produced in Australia.



The "labbie" is a 1980 Liconix model 4205 He-Cd head. first one of these I've come across! And it's pristine, like it's never been run.



And the laser power meter is the Techmet model 76-02 from the mid 1970s I'd guess. Very nicely made but only for a maximum of 2 mW. I've seen a reference to a he-ne laser they also made, but haven't seen one myself.

Notice the two cooling sections just in front of the cathode on the Liconix 4205. Apparently this is a feature added to the model as the plasma tube I got a very long time ago doesn't have them.
