Not 3k worth of love.
the pen monitor for 300-500 is perfect.
Somewhere(s) at home I have a 20x20" Kontron digitizer that listed for $5K that I got for $50 for helping out an auctioneer. It had a five button puck with a glass reticle, and could be back lit, so you could place the crosshair on the puck exactly where you wanted to record a point. I never used it for Lasers, that was already in my past 30 years ago. The watcom has two switches, so if you can record point by point rather than strokes it might be really nice for lasers.
