Default Free Space Adjustable Fibre Optic Coupler

I couldn't afford the £500-1000 for one from Newport or thorlabs, so I decided to make one.

    FC Fibre connector
    adjustable focusing lens
left right up down movement by about 4mm
zyx adjustable, like a mirror mount
all adjustors are fine thread m3x0.2mm

cost me about £110 to make and im really pleased with the end result

    That's slick

Did you constrain the block against rotation around the axis of the beam, or is it just stiff enough with the spring+screw arrangement for what you need?

There is no rotation, the springs are strong, I mean really strong.

I had to use a vice and g clamp to compress the springs to get them together
