OK, my mistake, I realise now that I asked the wrong question.
    What colour is the string?

    Ahem ....
You may wish to update the link to the Riverside Hotel in your initial post as the stated link appears to have been hijacked and takes you to an extremely fruity link featuring ladies who can't afford clothes !!

Here ya go...... The Riverside Hotel

I'll echo Dan's comment! Long time no see Richard!! I sure hope you'll give some consideration to coming this year. Corona virus bullshit notwithstanding, I'm coming across the pond again.

(Oh... and naturally, I clicked. Maybe Jim is arranging for some young ladies to come and enjoy our beams.)

    Hello Chums,
Yes indeedy I have booked in at the Riverside (although the ommision of a brekky in the incuded price is a bit a disappointing but there again it was never anything to write home about), so I will pop along for the Saturday evening shenanigans.
I doubt it will live up to my rose tinted memories of that evening when we had that fantastic fog that made beams visible from miles away.
I may even drag out my old laser gear (that has been in storage for a few years) to see if it sparks up.

Looking forward to catching up with the old gang.
Young Daniel (who was a fresh faced young upstart) who is probably a professor of Laseronics at some Blue Chip University now).
Old Jim (poking about in the Fuse Box and breaking some H&S rulings).
HobbyBob who screwed me over on some laser shows (no worries).
    Jem (eeh bah gum!).
    Rob (aye, aye Calm Down).
And maybe even a few Yankee chums.

I doubt if anyone will recognise me as I have put on approx. 15 pounds (since my last LEM) and so will appear as a newb (can I get away with paying f*ck all?)

Do they have such debauchery in Americaland ?

I was rather hoping it's a UK specific Vice but then again, Poontag is universal.

Safe to say the only vice practiced at the UKLEM's appears to be snoring and farting.
Now I can't absolutely swear to this as I prefer to spend the latter part of the evening esconced in a hotel room with the door locked and a chest of drawers lodged firmly against the door but I'm sure most of the attendees of the UKLEM's are upright citizens.

    But you never know ......

I suspect Con probably has something to do with the hacking of the link. ;-)

And no... we have nothing of the sort in 'Murica. We're pure and wholesome.
