Oh.. yeah, we taught the Radiator some new tricks.

This is one Radiator and one laser projector.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

in theory we could do stuff like that.

we'd just have to use the hdmi port instead of galvos.

Would it be possible to have a "mode" that uses the HDMI/lcd projector to do the detailed high resolution fractals, and have the laser/galvos trace over just the outlines/spokes of the fractals? High resolution video fractals with a lower resolution laser overlay that also makes beams and doesn't kill your galvos!

That might look very cool rear projected through scrim with fog.

That would be really cool, but it's not really possible at this point. We take the same data stream out of the abstract engine and feed it to our laser-raster generator and dacs.

how about a separate video projector you can send the video to and some mapping software between.

honeztly just just make a video based thing for this as a separate device with sync between. Ready for the FRACTOR video render. Bring back the toaster

    fractint lives.

Absolutely! chaining the hdmi radiator output through some external processing gear and then using it as the background with laser projection over it will be really amazing.

I did a little uv work with the Radiator last night.

Eventually I stopped drooling and turned the camera on.

That is really cool. Probably not all that useful for shows since it is relatively slow but would be really cool as an exhibit or backdrop at some tradeshow or concert.
