    Default I'll miss you, Richard

Richard was a wonderful problem solver at Laser Images. He solved many of my projector issues when they came up and provided quick solutions to issues that had to be solved in a very short time lest I lose shows. For those out there who are lumia fans, Richard innovated many of the looks that are considered standard today. I still treasure many of the lumia wheels that he designed and cast in the LII shop. His wry sense of humor will be sorely missed.

I just found a very modern photo of Richard. This is a production shot from "Laserium: the Gods of Light" that many Laserium laserists appeared in (will appear in?) produced by Bjorn Schaller.

He's standing in the old Laserium studio in front of the racks of film that Ivan shot of Laserium.

    Still missing you, Richard.

If the doc is completed since may, is it for sale anywhere or are they trying to sell broadcast rights?v

I'm told there were plans to show it at the ILDA meeting where Glenn Thomas got the Career Achievement Award, but got pulled for some reason. I saw a cut on a site that's since been password protected. I liked it. Bjorn said Richard suggested I tell the story about nailing Scott Anderson and Darryl Davis in Studio A way back when. I insisted I was just a helpful minion in that operation, but it was classic...

I hope his daughter's GoFundMe page hits it's goal.

Bjorn is looking for a distribution deal. If anyone has a pointer for him, PM me and I'll pass it along. It's a great documentary about Laserium that deserves to be seen. Richard appears in it. My apologies for inserting commercialism into this tribute thread.

I believe that there are plans to show it at ILDA in November.

..Indeed.. even Still, myself... +_+ Just too surreal.. In Honor:

..And, I just recently found These lil gems in an old iPhone back-up folder...and only just-then Realized what this was!! This was behind the chalkboard in 'Laser Surgery' back at 6911.. It was 'revealed' when I was sacking the place in '16, and took that board down..

...I was like 'Hah! Look at this crazy 70's artwork hidden behind this board all these years.. and.. someone's Sig! ...never realizing it was His sig / 'sticker doodle'! But then, when the tragedy passed in Aug there, I was flipping thru old pics, and saw this one again... and then looked closer... and Then it clicked, and I was like (O_O) Holy Love Cats!! It was Richard!

..Anyway, RIP Chief... We shall (attempt) to carry on in Lumia-championing for you..
