Wow great post! That was slightly before my time. I've been aware of the c64 classic Impossible mission, the "will explode in five seconds" gag from inspector gadget, and heard that music countless times. Now I get it. It is all allusions and homage to this, and I can see why. Hail the quiet calm 1970s seriousness.

I had a tiny bit of a listening moment when the clip first started, the voices made me expect the beginning of is there anybody out there.

By the way, Thanks all who have voted "present". Quiet friends welcome to post a time limited link to interesting video or kibonic sonnet.

Default Nice to see more vids of your show!

Thanks for sharing the two numbers from your recent show!
From "Run Like Hell", I loved the four-corners RYGB routine effect that starts around 4:30, very nice stuff! Nice Bela, fella!

PLF has been quite funky lately, the AI sniffing dogs are hungry no doubt, and, I haven't been receiving any new PL posts lately either. So I'm glad I checked PL again today.

MI was during my time and started the year I graduated high school. Over time, I learned to "disavow" any recollection of it, but the "self-destruct" message is a mission impossible to forget.

@dchammonds, your talent for digging up these jewels is highly commendable. Should you decide to accept this compliment...

I chatted with Rob on Discord about this recently... You're right, it seems a bunch of tech-bro's want to scrap the forums for feeder material to train their LLMs. And of course, they're doing it in the most ham-fisted manner possible, which tends to crash the server. (Bastards)

Rob's been trying to stamp them out, but this latest batch of inconsiderate assholes are being particularly persistent. (People just suck sometimes.)

This video shows three first take passes using the new encoder tools.

The first take used the buttons and joysticks to lay down data for the spiral generator. An unchanging analog circle is the only image source used except for the pongloid. This take resulted in recording both the spiral generator control data to reproduce the ramp and PDM waveforms, and the waveforms themselves. Thus the external circuitry may be switched off for the remainder of the development of the piece.

The second take recorded the chopper and colormod signals, which were played on the panel. I'm still not doing anything beyond the basics with these signals, but that's coming. The beam torque effect appears late in the number.

The third take used five frames of 352 data on five buttons to add LII style choreography. Also three joystick axes were used for X, Y and offset gains which are also recorded in the data frame.

The data frame used is the 352 format with five new bits stuck into byte 16. The new bits are spiral reset2, the offset3 and offset4 bits traditionally switches on the panel, and the two joystick grouping select bits, also traditionally switches on the panel.

I'm not sure that everyone gets that you're building the tools to choreograph/perform the shows rather than posting a complete work...
