    Take a look at the laser beam in the image in the link below. This can't be safe! I don't think we could get away with this nonsense in the USA.

    That said, still strikes me as pointless when you can just follow the car.

    Probably permitted because pointing down and no-one is going to run into it far enough to have it come to eye level. That said, what about hills and bumps, or if it comes loose or if someone trips and falls into it? It's not 5mw that's for sure with that size casing. Would have thought they'd have mounted it down at bumper level to be safer.
