Cool UKLEM - You guys have a great time!

Thanks for the invite guys; I'd *love* to come. Unfortunately, it's not going to be this year. Got too much else going on to even think about taking a vacation - not to mention the cost of the tickets to get there.

However, I am impressed at how large (and well organized) your meet has become in such a short time. And I would really like to attend one of them in the future. I'd love the chance to finally meet all you guys in person! Plus you have a great collection of equipment amongst you; drooling over all the kit would probably occupy me for the weekend! Not exactly sure when I'll get the chance to make the trip though. Maybe in a year or two...

Besides, as it stands right now we're trying to organize another Florida Laser Enthusiast's Meeting for March 1st (In Orlando again), so I'll be rather busy in the months leading up to that event. I've still got a bunch of work to complete on my own equipment before then. (Need to get my RGB projector re-assembled once my Lasever blue comes back, and I would like to get a scan-head mounted on my HGM5 argon, too. Then there's the Lumina wheel project that I need to get moving on. Sigh...) So I really couldn't take a week off and fly to the UK - much as I'd love to do so.

Also, though I realize it's just as difficult for you guys to fly over here, you are all of course welcome to attend any of the meetings on this side of the pond. Next summer (August 16th and 17th of 2008, to be exact) we will be hosting SELEM 2008 in Newton, North Carolina. (Same place as last time.) So if any of you would like to make the trip, at least you've got ~ 9 months to make plans...

    Mark ...

Great to see you here again ...... hope you are well .... still remember the great night around town ...

it fantasitic that you are hosting it again .... i know that you put alot of effort into the last one... and that made it such a great day for all of us .... im hoping that i can maybe get back for the next ... trying to plan it in ...

it would be good if we could get a well lit area for the tech stuff ... and also last time you had some great stuff for sale and it would be good to have that on display in the lit area as well .... and im sure you have some new gizmos to flog as well ....

hope all is well and looking forward to meeting up with everyone again

    Hiya,

I've not long completed my first projector (2 watts green, half watt red) so I'm still a bit of a noob with all this but I'll bring it along anyways -
It's the most fun thing I've ever owned!

Can't wait to meet you all and see all the glittering toys

It sounds like it's gonna be a good do!!

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.
