Perhaps I was a bit harsh with ..
I said ..
Perhaps I might make you the same offer you made in your post if you like it go there and perhaps for the sake of peace you might consider staying there .......... go win a laser or burn something down.
I withdraw this statement issued under the duress (pee'd off) at reading how "unhelpful" this forum is... which of course is completely the opposite.
It is probably better for you and your friends if you do spend some time here to learn from the guys that really do know lasers (not me I'm a newbie and I'm proud of it, that way I learn !!) then you will have the help you need.
Which must raise the question why did you start a separate forum ??
Would it have been better, possibly, to ask for your own "section" here if you have some specific need not currently covered by PL... just a thought.
Building a whole new house when you may only need a room seems a lot of work and cost to me. Its also divisive which is never a good thing after all we all have an interest in lasers in one way or another.
Either way come over often and get the help that you may need from a great bunch of very helpful guys I can personally attest to that fact.
Either way good luck ..

I'll also suggest for a lot good information on handhelds and all the "fun" you can have with them, check out Candlepowerforums.com laser forum. There are a lot of knowledgable folks over there also.
Hey dude _ I hope your new forum goes well Dont hit anybody in the eye..possibly, to ask for your own "section" here
Thanks Bill (Pangolin) for pointing out the flaw in my platform "it may drop and hit someone in the eye" - It made me re-think to do the bounce mirror on the balcony (alot safer)
Re: a new section: How about old/ new technologies (the dlp tvs are out with their thousand tiny mirror scanners, and Ive been thinking about re-inventing a dye laser for a true orange-yellow , not a mixed green/red.

ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha ha
go big or go home
Ok, I dont like a mixed green/ red. I'd like to see a true yellow/orange.
I'd like one of those plz. Water cooled, miniature. About the size of a Maxyz. 500mW or so would do nicely.
Here's an interesting link. Cu-vapor is really nice color-wise. Familiar faces anyone?
