Hi Artag, There's no need to sign up to attend the laser meet. Just turn up at the venue on your chosen day / days and let us know who you are and how you heard about the meet.

Also for first time attendees admittance in to the meet is free.

I'll let Jim (Smogthemog) know via Facebook that you are thinking of coming along to check out what we get up to over the weekend.

Default Important announcement re UKLEM March/Aprill 2022

Ok ladies and gentlemen, (and con) its time we talked about the elephant in the hall...
Despite largely being brushed under the carpet now restrictions are lifted, Cov19 is still out there and still dangerous to vulnerable people. So we feel that to ensure the continued protection of our most vulnerable family members, its important that we should be responsible and ask people to show a negative LFT before attending this weekend. This is for the protection of all of us and any of our family that may be adversely affected should we spread it about.
So can you please do a test prior to leaving home, take a photo of it, and show to Rob or Jim when you arrive. And be sensible not to attend if its positive! I know there has been supply issues and we will have a small number of tests available so you can test at the hall (outside in your car!) but you will need to take the waste from the test home with you and NOT leave it at the hall.
A gentle reminder poster will be placed on the doors, so please for the safety of everyone please do this one small task to make sure we have a superb and safe (and much needed) LEM
    Thanks
    Rob

🚨 ATTENTION LEM PEEPS - FREE STUFF 🚨
Several months ago I was contacted by a holography lab that was getting rid of it's old stuff. To cut a long story short, I ended up coming back with a van full of old stuff with a view to sharing it around with anyone who wants it. (Annoyingly I missed out on the 5x 171's they were chucking!!!)
If anyone is interested in any of this and is coming to the LEM, please let me know and I'll bring it and its yours to take away. Everything is free, first come first served basis. Anything not explicitly claimed below will not be brought to the LEM, and disposed of safely the following week.
This is a non exhaustive list but there is:
    - Coherent I90 head and PSU
    - Krypton tube
    - Spectra Physiscs 168
    - Lexel head
    - Omnichrome HeCd
    - JDSU 10mW Argons
    - Spare tubes
    - Spare magnets
    - Flightcases for Ions
    - Weird YAG rail thing
    - A super heavy box of brass water fittings, and general ion spares.
    - A 12.5kVA 208V auto robot in disguise.
Assume nothing works or is complete, so spares/repairs and anything here would require work to get running, or other components. All bets are off!
