    Default CW6200 chiller port size?

I have the big CW6200 chiller. I have the manual, but nowhere does it specify the thread. I fit these on:

Gave it some wraps of teflon pipe thread tape. It was a bit loose and leaks from both ports.

I tried adding a more generous amount of thread tape, and it's hard to turn on, actually. But it's still weeping. It's not between the polyethylene hose and fitting, the weeping is coming from the thread interface.

When I had them out to thicken up the thread tape, I did inspect the female port threads. Nothing is cracked.

Am I missing something? Just cheap fittings and need the solid metal ones?

Sounds like you are trying to use a NPT (american) thread on a ISO (international) fitting. Try looking for a 1/2 RP or BSPT fitting.

Some really old chillers (ion lasers especially seemed to like them) use GHT--same thread found on garden hoses with a courser pitch. But I have only ever seen that on 3/4" fittings.
