This right here should have been your clue that the guy in the video was selling snake oil. The earth's magnetic field doesn't work like that.

Yes, the earth's magnetic field does move; the poles have actually swapped locations hundreds of times over the last few hundred million years. (That's what you get when you have a spinning molten iron core at the center of your planet!) But the key point is that the actual reversal takes hundreds to thousands of years to occur.

Also, the periods between reversals vary greatly. True, it's been ~ 800,000 years since the last major pole reversal, which is more than double the average, so that might lead the uneducated to think that we are 'due' for a reversal. But any reversal is always preceded by a gradual weakening of the field. Considering that the field is currently very close to the highest intensity it's been at over the last 100,000 years, and that it is currently twice as strong as the million-year average strength, it's obvious that it's not going to weaken completely and flip poles in the next 10 years.

Right now we are loosing 15 percent of the earths magnetic field per decade
Got a source for that? Because NASA says that the global average strength of the earth's magnetic field has dropped by about 9% over the last 200 years.

More to the point though - the claim from the video doesn't pass the bullshit test. Because if the earth's magnetic field were really dropping by 15% every 10 years, it would have dropped enough in my lifetime that small, cheap compasses (like you get in a box of Cracker Jacks) would no longer function. (And as Hank pointed out above, it would be a subject that EVERYONE would be talking about.)

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
