    Default 1154 nm Laser Diodes

If anyone has a line on some 1154 nm laser diodes, please let me know, these appear to be very difficult to find surplus. I need one, or an array to produce 577 nm from an OPSL laser head. I can make just about anything work if there is enough output power.

Oh man - are you telling me that the $2K yellow unit you just picked up doesn't actually work and you have to replace the pump diodes? Suddenly that purchase isn't looking nearly as good as I had originally assumed...

Hope you can find a solution!

LOL, nope, my 2 watt output unit is working great, I later bought the second one he had for sale too, then I bought the module the seller couldn't get working and that is the one I am looking for a diode. However, the optics are made for a specific diode, of course, I am not sure I can get this third one putting out more than the 60 some milliwatts it is doing, but thought I'd try anyway, using an external diode shooting into it, if I can find one.

Ah. OK, that makes sense. (Had me worried for a second!)

You might want to reach out to Jordan Ramey at DTR's Laser Shop. He always seems to be able to find rare wavelength diodes, so he might be able to point you in the right direction.

OK, I will give him a try, I've been a customer of his for years but never asked for anything unusual before.

if you find those diodes please let me know. I have bbo coated for the job so I could finally make some yellow.

I may have misunderstood the pump diode wavelength used in my 577 nm OPSL laser, does anyone know what is typical?

    likely 808. Measure it

I need to get my Ocean Optics software reinstalled, but this is very good news. I won't need 1154 nm after all, but if I can find it to try to double it, I'd be interested anyway.

good luck been looking for years. I found a few very low power ones but if you can’t get the energy density in the crystal to double it doesn’t work. They were also very expensive.

the idea is to go the dpss way 808-1154-577. That’s the secret sauce of opsl.
