    Default poly wheel

Yes, i have one, it is well worth having, i guess you will need to buy an opto actuator also, so you can re-direct the beam through the grating, the two units function together.
If you need any advice contact james,he is very helpful.

    Thanks.
Yes, I know I need the actuator to change beam path. Want to integrate this to my RGB laser.
    The poly wheel looks awsome

    L. Michael Roberts has one of these in his projector. I think I'd prefer the Poly-6 Track grating so you can rotate them. Or maybe the Poly-4 Sector Grating to swing infront of your scanners then have 4 selections.

$330... interesting? How much do you thing that effects wheel (just the wheel costs)? I have an idea how much the motor and controller is worth. Just trying to get a feel whether it is worth buying something like this or making it.

Polysector is a very useful grating disc. I've love it
There are lots of effect, but must impressive are wide lines and complex grids like a effect called "stargate", expecially if you are using a multicolor laser.

A friend have builded for me a PIC board to control disc position mounted on a stepper motor. An optical sensor help PIC to find a "zero" position and by serial comunication and a custom software (that do much more), is possible to select different section of polysector.
I've the polysector with 10 different effect by creativelaser.de
