Your argument is that ilda is the best because it's what everyone is using. You mock the use of wav because you think it's somehow backdated to the 90s. This is literally a thread about a new format. Can't you see how contradictory that is?
How do think anything will get any better if you can't get past the idea that ilda is the end all be all?
And by the way, I never said it should be replaced by wav or text or whatever. All of that can and does coexist.
Do you think the current ilda format will ever be supplemented in any way? Or is it more likely that it will be replaced?
Do you think the commercial product companies have any motivation to develop a better free, open standard for generic data exchange?
