    Default Making a FC laser

    Hi All,

I want to make three lasers diodes with drivers, Red Blue and Green, all with the same body size ideally and having threads on the the end to fit a lens holder. I requirew a short focal length of a few mm (G2 focal length) then finally I want to attached a fiber using a FC connector. (The FC adapter I think I will have to get machined)

There are off the shelf FC lasers but the are not cheap and as I need three I am trying to save money.

Any advice, links to cheap off the shelf FC lasers, suppliers of parts would be very welcome.

    Thanks Steve

    Hello!
I can suggest our ColorDRIVE one (if needed without TEC). They are only 55,50€ and have a lot of featuers (Onboard DCDC for the diode, differential input, enable functions,... and a modulations frequency of 1,2MHz analogue!)
    https://www.live-lasersystems.at/d/colordrive-one.php
We can offer also diode sleeves with collimators where you can mount the diodes and easy collimate them:
    https://www.live-lasersystems.at/d/sparrow-mechanical---optical-accessories.html
There we have also small OEM modules where you can mount the dioes (with back PCB) and for example building a small mount to add for fibre coupling.
If you want a OEM build without soldering, or just want to easy build a experimental setup, we have a lot different, cheap addons, like a "Control Box" - with this no external modulation signal is needed, but you can use it too and switch between "on with power regulation via potentiometer" or external modulation input.

Please ask if you have any questions!

    Hi Phillip

Thanks for the reply but I am not looking for any complicated drivers, just the simple constand current PCB and 5v input, I will be PWM driving the GND to achive control.

So, small Red, Green and Blue doides with power drivers, lens holder + lens. ideally FC connector but if not I will make these. something like the ebay picture attached. cheers (the reason I don't use this is the emails requesting information arnt forthcoming and I am not sure I can get Red+Blue+Green modules)

    Thx

    Hi!
I stopped to talking to anybody about Scannermax and their business strategy. I think the most people know how it´s going and what it means to the business and our global market which has more than just one Showlaser supplier.

We had also DT50 scanners a lot and only problems with, becouse the quality on the feedbacksensors get worse (I think a production problem), so the most of the DT50 we used got defective.
We changed now to use only EyeMagic scanners and nothing else anymore. The quality is very good, the price is reasonable and the service is very good.
