Been 5 years since my last Selem Hoping to make it this year but I'm going to give it a 10% for me :/ Anyone happen to be driving through Richmond on their way? looking at my options to get there as I no longer trust my car for journeys longer than 30 miles LOL long story. Alternatively looking at greyhound or Flixbus. Been way to long I definitely need my laser fix.

SELEM is not the same without you, Zak!

Look into Amtrak from Richmond to Wilmington, DE.
You can do round trip for about $84 (coach flexible fare).

I have been looking for an excuse to take a long Amtrak journey. I'm going to check the options and see if the stars align.

    Thumbs up

Looks like round-trip train tickets from Charlotte to Wilmington start at around $200-ish for coach seats. The trip takes about 10 hrs, although it does vary a bit between different trains. That's honestly not bad though.

Depending on how bad the traffic is around Washington DC, I've made the trip from Charleston in as little as 9.5 hours and as long as 12 + hours.

Granted, Charlotte is a bit closer that Charleston, but even so - 10 hours in a comfortable seat with no responsibilities vs the same (or longer) in the car while fighting traffic.?. I'm starting to see the appeal!
