The absorption of the HCl is done on charcoal powder and molecular sive and after passed thru a stanless steel gitter and after in the vacuum pump.
You can show the cartrige for the Lambdaphysik KrF laser that have 600mJ per pulse in 12 ns. that is 50 MW pulses of UV beam at 248 nm.
