Default Looking to purchase a laser for software development. Any Suggestions?

    Hi all.

I am new to lasers and looking to learn how to program a laser that can draw multi colored shapes via software I am making using Windows 11 x64.
Looking to purchase one for hopefully under $500 US$ that has an ILDA interface.

I would appreciate any references and links that I can take a look at.

    Thanks in advance!

Pangolin Quickshow with an FB3 controller is a very good option for a beginner. Simple interface and very easy to apply effects to shapes. List price used to be $595 but if you look around for deals from reputable vendors, you can get one for right around $500. The FB3 has a standard ILDA interface. As for software development, I believe there is an SDK available for it. I can't remember though. You might want to send Pangolin a request for information.

he's looking for a laser, not a dac.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

He's also not exactly a beginner. He knows a lot about the software he wants to develop. He just wants a good prototyping laser projector.

All software has a learning curve usually proportional to its capabilities and unique features. Pointing with a mouse is in no way easier than tapping a key.

Ok, thanks. The projector I have will be a bit expensive to ship over the border. Sorry
