Red face Amazing Laser Show I filmed in Holland

This was at the "Mysteryland" Festival.. Sorry for the poor video quality.. but my disk was running out of space...

Here's another one that's not mine, but a little better quality..

Anyone have any idea about what lasers were used? The event is thrown by the same people who do the Qlimax festival... I'm sure most of you have seen this video:

    Anyways... thought you might enjoy.

drop these guys a line: http://www.laser-image.nl/
Their url appears in one of the videos, they should be able to tell you about the lasers used. The website itself isn't much help.

    cheers.

I call YAG on those. I could be wrong, but they look pretty bright considering it's still dusk in the video.

..and is it me or were they scanning the crowd a bunch there?

Hugo from Laser-Image NL does those shows. I know him well. I have been a few of those shows. They are truly amazing! It looks like all green, but I can asure you that he mixes full color in as well. Some of these shows will use 20 or more scan heads.

Everyone scannes the crowds here in europe with 10watt+ lasers...

I guess its taken a few hundred meters away from the projectors. Pretty strong stuff, though they looked alot better in reality...

That's pretty fuckin sick... I'm not sure I want to be scanned with my puny projector like that. Does look cool though.

Does anyone over yonder know of anyone specificlly who has suffered eye damage from being in scanned audience? And I mean in an event like that, not being stupid in a garage...

I have not heard of any eye damage reported as a result of these kinds of shows.

I got scanned with no damage : ZZTop show with very high power ion in the 1970s (when it was legal in the US).
I think it's similar to holding your hand in a beam path for a while vs the beam rapidly going across your hand. One hurts, one doesnt.
(very crude and inaccurate analogy, I know)

I go to parties like that all the time. The scanning goes very fast, so you dont feel anything, you dont even get blinded by the light.

I live in the netherlands myself, and I havent seen any better parties (laser wise) then over here
