Did you notice:
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 128.0 KB (whichever is smaller).
My eyes skipped over that when I tried to create an Avatar.

I re-uploaded just in case. File is only 30K, 95 x 98. The picture appears on the My Profile page, but not with the posts.
