    Default Magmounts - The sequel.

    They are here - my latestest and best incarntion of the magnetic mounts. These look better and work better than any I have built upto now.

    Very nice. I think you need a dumbass to test them to make sure they are... well dumbass proof. Then mass produce them.

    Hi. Just FYI, you can buy set screws that have ball bearings built into the tips of them. They are made for this sort of purpose. You can check www.mcmaster.com for them. I am not sure if the threads are fine enough or not, though.

    I'm sure such screws are available over here and I did originally intend to use them but in the end having the ball bearing on the moveable section bearing onto the flat(ish) end of a screw is just fine and means that there is no need for great accuracy when placing the ball bearings.


    Now I have posted a video demonstration of the mount in action showing how the alignment remains intact even when you split the two parts.
