Out of the two, after a very quick glance, I would go for the second one (NRG)...

The first one is TTL only 7 colours, the second in analgue and gives 16.8 million colours...

The flight case is nice on the first one, but look how they both add up to 1W output:

    first one:
    800mW red (650 claimed)
    100mW 532nm Green
    100mw 'Blue diodes'

either this will be very red heavy, or the red is actually 670nm, which means the projector brightness will be nearer a 300mW system than a 1W system in terms of brightness.

    Second one (terrible ad)
    800-900mW red (no wavelength)
    200-250mW Green
    100-150mW 473 blue

At least this one specifies the blue wavelength but again, the red is probably 670nm so you'll be getting the equivalent output brightness of a 400mW projector.

So I'd say neither, get one that guarantees at least 150mW 473 at that price.

it is probably more like 658 as 670 is a dpss and very expensive

i think the reds are 650nm but notice the blue is ttl modulation and the rest are anolouge in the second one.

    strange setup

would go wiv that over the first one though.

    Default Thanks

Thanks for all the inputs folks. Much appreciatted.

Getting to know Gary (NRG) through a couple of calls already but just wanted to check as I'm forking out £1700.00

Think I will opt for the NRG laser (2nd one).

He also told me in passing about a laser Safety course in May, has anyone else heard about this and I be pointed in the right direction please.

    thanks again
