    Default Newb: Image orientation...?

I've come into a couple of second hand DT40's a DAC and software. At the moment the image on screen is left-right, and the projected image is top-bottom.

I've reversed my x/y connections and I just get a reversed image (eg text)

To get the image to be left-right do I need to feed the laser into the galvo assembly the other way round?

    Bit confused at the moment.

    Does that work?

How is that different to swapping the cables over?

Actually at some point I might be removing one of the galvos - for the device I'm building I only need a single axis fan of beams.

Is removing the galvos generally considered a bad idea? I suspect that they might be carefully aligned and my removal might upset things.

Are your DAC to amp cables reversed? If you swap amp to galvo cables you'll need to retune. Most laser software packages have settings to flip/mirror the image so that is the simplest way.

I couldn't find the reversal setting in Mamba Black - do you know where this is?
