Help needed by somebody with a very bad memory

Hey folks, many years since my last post, just dug out all my old laser stuff to have a play. I have a RGB laser. Medialas software and dac, it was working years ago but the pc sort of caught fire a bit and so it has been a few years since I did anything. The laser works on it's internal patterns but I haven't been able to get it to work on ILDA. The laser detects the dac is connected as it switches off the internal pattern. The pc detects the DAC and the software allows me to select the USB dac as an output device but I can't get any further. After much playing about I managed to get a show loaded - it outputs ok to the screen , the Dac seems to be trying to do something as the red light flashes. I don't have any bits to substitute so I am a bit stuck. Can anybody offer any words of wisdom or offer an alternative solution? i am near Boston, Lincs if anybody in the rea has an ILDA compatible set up I could try to see what part is broken. Is it the same ILDA DB25 cable you used before? Some 25 pin cables aren't exactly straight through on all 25 pins.

Yeah, same cable, I think the interface has gone faulty, I bought a dmx controller and can control the laser with that, although that is very limited compared to the ilda control. I guess i am going to have to spend some money, would love Pangolin but just can't justify the cash right now. Thanks for the reply.

Well at least you can use it somewhat. Do you or a friend have an oscilloscope? You can definitely troubleshoot some of it using that.
