Certified Laser Safety Glasses (Thorlabs)

For very small CW lasers you can get away with Eagle Pair (sometimes), but you would have to have them tested by a professional.
Eagle Pair® COMBO 190-540nm & 580-760nm Laser Safety Goggles
I'm NOT going to use EAGLE PAIR in a commercial or lab situation, for the lack of testing, certification, and energy density specs. Included only for completeness.
The only true way to determine what you need as a beginner is to have a certified LSO make measurements and calculations for you, but it is somewhat safe to assume OD6 and rated for the power density you need for a direct hit... This is not easy.

This is not easy. You have to understand powers of ten and exponents and scientific notation.

This is just informational, as I have no control over your physical situation and personal discipline, I will not recommend anything below OD6, I have no liability for your actions as a begineer not under my management or employ. It is up to you to obtain the appropriate calculations.

thanks didn t understand much, but its ok. what about a very dark sunglasses doesn t allow all lasers , red green orange blue violet .
is it possible to find this? i need a very dark one even if it doesn t allow good enough visibility. even if i see verydark
... "dark" glasses, capable of blocking all sorts of laser, wouldn't let any visible light through -- so you wouldn't see anything through them either![]()

i mean nearly i want these from 400nm to 660nm be nearly no light so i see very little
OD3 or OD4 are typically used for "Aiming" glasses. Off the shelf sun glasses are maybe OD1.5, and their coatings and materials are not rated nor designed for lasers. They often have coverage gaps etc.
Welding goggles are not for laser safety either.
At 1.5 meters off a non specular or diffuse reflector such as drywall, your probably fine with red at 330 mW.
It is the specular reflections from mirror like materials (mylar, metals, shiny plastics) that you have to watch out for, besides direct hits. Even a crappy reflection with caustic shapes can damage your eye.
Laser safety is all about controlling your environment and having accurate measurements of what you are working with. NO, and I mean NO, pointer ever ships at its rated power. Lots are over spec some are under, some are emitting "other" invisible wavelengths besides the desired one, and the legal max in the US is 4.95 mW. Basically, from a professional Laser show or lab guy's perspective most of them are cheap junk for a variety of reasons.
Next, if you follow the normal path, you'll ask us about theatre gels for home made eye safety.. Answer is no, those dyes used often bleach to clear or burn under laser light. The dye bleaching is temporary and fast, and they often turn back to their natural color after bleaching.
Your line of thought is that your not listening to what we have told you about lasers not helping you, and to use normal sunlight for healing. Bye...

thanks for answer , i understand ur point but i tried it ounce , thats why i ll have to reuse it , atleast make sure it doesn t work , so ill go for something else, healing sometimes is also about discarding some therapies to focus on the next.
i found this Laser Safety Glasses 155 Polycarbonate IPL 5 from this https://lasersafetyindustries.com/ , on chatgpt says blocks 99.9 visible laser , do u think its good?
