Default Glavo mirrior replacement and tuning

I have recently bought some used Bermuda x laser 3 Watts and I noticed the mirror was flaking off I replaced it with when I found on eBay the same size and now the image is a little fuzzy

Probably plus or minus 1/2 turn of servo gain or HF damping.

It also sound like the alignment may be off a little. If it was the X mirror you replaced, it may not be hitting the Y mirror squarely. This can cause some abberations that make the scanner image look fuzzy. Also make sure your mirrors are clean. Try to avoid using IPA (alcohol) to clean optics. This can leave a film and also cause fuzzy images.

Default Oh dang okay I'm talking to this kid Patrick in Wisconsin

Yeah I freaking tried to fix the mirrors and was trying to adjust it from shooting off to the left and was moving the galvo housing and broke the other mirror so now I have ordered two new mirrors and I was cleaning them with alcohol so maybe that is the problem I have bought some JB weld one minute set instant setting epoxy I was using fingernail polish to glue them in that wasn't working so I'm going to try this epoxy with the new mirrors once they get here and see if I can square everything up really good with the galvo housing completely out of the laser now and I'm going to reattempt it

Yeah I was using alcohol so maybe that's the problem too to clean them and I was using fingernail polish to try to glue them in so now I have broke both the new mirrors trying to adjust things now that I have the galvo out I've ordered new mirrors and I got a one minute setting JB weld epoxy I'm going to try to reset them when the mirrors get here and go from there the image last time was shooting off super far to the left and I couldn't figure out how to get that to come back to center without moving the galvo housing and after doing that all the way at its tilt it still was off to the left about 3 in so yeah fun times

Just a heads up. The "one minute" refers to the working time not the cure time. You still need to let the epoxy cure completely before running the galvos. Otherwise the mirrors will move...
