    I just saw a hacker warning story about this on NBC Nightly News yesterday; I was wondering what the hell they were talking about. Thanks for posting.

    ... while visible laserdiodes could be traced, this will work with invisible infrared too and even better, as there are much more powerfull ones - have some with 200 Watts!! @976nm.

    They are invisible for the human eye, but digital cameras will "see" the spot.

    So maybe time to protect all your "voice reading devices" with security cameras too
