Does anyone know how much tariffs Americans will have to pay on imports from China this week?
There are several different versions and I'm not sure which one is accurate. If anyone knows, please let me know, thanks.

no one knows... tariffs are changing hourly by an insane angry man and all his idiot friends.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Depends on the class of product and it's homologation code. For instance, broadly 'electronics' were exempted, but not all 'electronics'.

I thought he suspended the tariffs on Chinese goods for 90 days? Or was that only for cell phones and electronics?

Honestly, it's been so crazy lately that I've actively avoided looking for details, because the more I read, the more upset I get.

And that's before we even start talking about Canada. Or Greenland. Or Heard Island (hint: that one is uninhabited).

    He did two^H^H^H three things.

First, he put a 90 day pause on all reciprocal tariffs except for China.
Then a few days later, me made a HUGE exception for 'electronics' from China (see: https://content.govdelivery.com/acco...letins/3db9e55)

But then a couple of days ago, orange potato head reversed himself again saying the exception was only temporary:

So any given day -- who the fuck knows.

I've been losing interest in the latest news nowadays but I do check up on it once and awhile. It can cause a lot of stress. A guy I know had a friend in canada who he knew for over 4 years suddenly just turn on him because he's in america. He's been going around giving death threats to anyone american now. I feel bad for him but what can you do?

... I'm from Germany -- here the trend, to avoid all sorts of "made in USA" products, gets a pretty big momentum

I feel both sad and powerless regarding the people who indulge in this type of self dis-regulation, rudeness, and who relish hurtfulness. Doubly so when it appears they are representing Canada. Honor and respect from this Canadian to my American friends, as always.
