    Default Laser Targets for show?

Is anyone aware of a substance I could use as a 'target' ? I'm looking for something disc shaped a couple of inches wide that glows nicely when hit by a laser.

I've been experimenting with different translucent plastics and glass, but I wondered if there was a standard material for this kind of thing.

Eventually I want the target to be read by a photocell.

Anything painted with flourescent (day-glow) paint usually glows nicely when hit.
What's the photocell for? Power reading?

It's a short clip of the trial run of my laser harp.

With nothing more elaborate than 1/2 silvered mirrors and photocells.

orange dayglow plexiglas (green or blue excite)

rhodamine B or rhodamine 6G dye in clear casting plastic from the art supply store (glows yellow) no persistance

..and while you're there at Post Apple you can pick up some salt-peter from grandma Gertie's and play a 'joke' on someone..

This laser harp changes colour when you "pluck" it.
