I have had a thought though.

The blue reflection of the blue reflect dichro is 96.6%
The blue transmission of the red reflect dichro is 91.7%
This gives total blue of 88.6%

The blue is the most expensive and it is the transmission of the red reflect that is killing it.

Could you swap the red and blue lasers and swap the two dichros?
ie what is the red transmission of the blue reflect dichro?

Red is cheap at 658nm so even if the red transmission of the blue reflect dichro was 80% I would prefer this to losing over 10% of my blue.

    Best regards,
    Robin
    Hi Robin,
    You are right.
Originally I thought transmission easy than reflect .So order the dichro for reflect red first. Also I build the RGB system all use 635nm,same expensive .

Could you swap the red and blue lasers and swap the two dichros?
Can't swap the two dichros only.
I must re-custom-tailor the dichro for blue at first position.
Problem I must each 50 pcs. That I must payment more money to order them.
    Anyway I will try it.

This is how I wanted to mount mine:. Are you saying we can't mount the reflect red, pass green in the middle and the reflect blue, pass red/green nearest to the galvos?

No, you cannot do that with these. Your best bet and for minimal loss, get 3 1" mounts from Newport/thorlabs and then get the dichro from EO.

For me in the UK $99 is a good price for a delivered pair of mounts so I'm willing to take a punt on the performance of the dichros.
Looking at the original picture of the blue reflect it does not look like it reflects red too much. When mine arrive I'll test them out at 658nm & post back here.

Same here. When I get more cash I can keep the mounts and change the dichros. As a starter set this will get me going.

    Hi everyone:
I just make sure: one dichro is pass Blue/Green ,reflect Red
Another dichro is pass Red/Green,reflect Blue
SO you can change the Blue and Red laser,at the same time change the dichros of position.
    Then everything done

The Blue laser will install at first position.
I do the test today. The pass of Red laser good, about 92-96%

    Hi Jian,

The Dichros arrived this morning. You are right, they will work with the blue and red swapped.
I have just tested the blue reflect in red transmission and it works VERY well!

At 658nm it is 95.7 transmissive.

For transmission it did not make any difference if you hit the coated surface first or the uncoated one. (So keep the coated surface towards your blue for reflection)

If the angle is much steeper than 45 degrees the transmission drops off a bit (90% at 55 deg) so keep as close to 45deg as possible.
