Spectra Physics Spinnaker Laser Manual

Does anybody have a copy of the operating instructions / manual for the Spinnaker gas laser?
I’d be super grateful if someone has one and can share. I’ve contacted Newport (Spectra Physics) with no joy. Thanks.

PSU looks like the Switched Resistor PSU for a 2017 series.

see attached, "looks like" and "may not be" are two different things.

They used the same case design for a lot of programs

Spinnaker is a sealed mirror, non-polarized 800-1000 mW Whitelight. The WC-300 Reliant came on the market and sort of ate Spinnakers' lunch. It was intended to be strictly a low cost laser for show use.


Can you shoot me a picture of the PSU with the top lid off?

The folks at whatever the current version of Laserfreak.de is might have more info than I do.

It is also Hybrid cooled if I remember right, so make sure cathode end stays cool:

Thanks for the message. I don't have the laser (as yet) I was hoping to read up about it before possibly obtaining one. I had a Laser Physics Reliant WC300 back in the day, sadly long gone - lovely little laser :-)
