The clarity of some of those images is amazing.
Whenever I take pics of Lasers they appear either washed out or just weak.
What's your secrets guys?

Get the camera close to the projector, make sure you've got a lot of fog in the air (it needs to be fairly uniform fog - too thick in places and you'll get hot spots in the picture), and make sure the room is pitch-dark. Use a tripod, and leave the exposure on automatic. Digital cameras seem to work better than film cameras. Take *lots* of pictures, because on average only 1 in 10 will turn out like the one's you see here.
Experiment, and if your digital camera just doesn't cut it, try a different brand (borrow a friend's camera). I've had really good luck with Fuji cameras...

Canon A40 is a good camera to get images with. The only way I know to get good images is practise getting images of light. It's a very different thing from getting images of illuminated objects. Try any kind of light emitter, you learn things from all of them.
Some more glass phantoms:
Phoenix, Piper, Nazgul, Sprite.
And a spirit in a bottle:
And a composite picture of several things, all found in one night in a single tiny square of rough glass. All the glass phantom images are simulated colour, I had nothing but a 35 mW red when I made these. The images themselves are all genuine, unmodified apart from colour, gamma, contrast and such. I just kept looking for interesting stuff and taking pictures for many hours. I didn't know what they'd become till months or years later.
I like to do everything Buffo said in addition to pausing the show. I like to load a show, hit play, pause it, and then step through the show looking for a good shot.

Hayden;
Good point about pausing a show to take a picture. That often works really well with complex abstracts...

i love the texture the gas lasers give.

Guess they really expensive for a complete system with blanking etc..
488nm blue is so darn nice!

Here's a few i've just taken, I was trying to get the feathering effect of the beams from the show Gradient by Moby. These pictures really don't do it justice. Anyone who has seen this show will know what I mean
