Default This thing is awesome..its got HOE's in it

Well the title says it all for me..

It'sa Laser Stars Astronomy Projector found on ebay last week bought from one of our members (newaje) here on Pl.

Since I am prettymuch relegated to the couch for now during my healing process I just had to get one of these to see if it really looked like it does in the picture..
WE Like glowy things here, plus it reminesces of indoor astronomy when the weather is bad. Kinda like a planetarium.

    does IT work...YES
    And..its fairly bright too...
I used the ebay pix as it really does look like this.
It is a mix of a green laser with a couple of rotating gratings or HOE's creating a simulated star field, maybe 3 not sure I didnt open it up yet, but I will to add a diffused violet laser as I have glow-in-the-dark star and planets on my ceiling.
Plus what looks like a lamp and rotating blue diffuse filter of somesort giving it a nebula look.
I didnt see any shooting stars yet but they say they're in there.

I really like this thing and it wasnt too awefully expensive either.

I dont own this company or have any affiliation with the seller., Just wanted to pass along my review.

Hey Chuck, is the starfield supposed to be random, or is it representive of what you'd actually see in the night sky? Just curious)

It does look cool... How about some pictures of it in operation in your living room?

PS: Glad to hear you're taking it easy on the couch. Best place for you, really! Hope that back of yours heals up...

Its strictly random because of the rotating HOE's inside..
    No recognizable constellations or anything.
    Still pretty cool looking..

I was thinking of making a video , but I cant do that just yet.

So far, so good on the back,,,feeling a bit better but gotta take it real easy

    Glows before HOE's, man!

Back trouble that bad? Do whatever it takes, that kind of immobility needs all the encouragement it can get to shift. Worst I ever got was a slipped disk, and that scared me.

I dont ever want to go thru this again.

I will try to get more pix of this in operation as soon as someone around here finds my camera as I cant go looking for it yet.

Anyhow, I want to thank newaje for making these available..
Everyone who has come over to visit has been awestruck by my ceiling.
Together with a lasershow and the glow stars and planets , its pretty cool
I still have yet to see a shooting star,Hehe.

Careful what you wish for. Might be an errant electrolytic... Someone showed me how to use 700V to drill those through a ceiling once.

Great idea but does it have a practical use.
How bright it is. Can it be used (for example) as a wedding decor.
marconi if you have a chance can you do a pix and a video preferably in some large place with dimmed lights.

YOW! That's a hell of a way to poke a hole in the ceiling! (Though I imagine it would be fun to do it outside. Bet it made one hell of a bang!)

I've blown a few caps in my day - the worst part is cleaning up all the gunk they leave behind... (Icky!)

Hey Chuck - assuming your back is better in time for FLEM 1.5, would you mind bringing that thing with you? I'd really like to see it in operation. (Thinking about getting one, actually!)

I'll come clean, it was a very low ceiling made of soft fibreboard in a small house by a railway. The bang was good though.
