    Default First surface convex mirror?

Is there such a thing as a first surface convex mirror? I'm looking to do the maximum spread of beams in the smallest throw distance.

    yes,they are out there.
    they're not cheap though.
i forgot where i saw them, but you can just google front surface mirrors or other similar key words and you'll find them.
i'm sure someone here knows more specifically.
also,i think there are stage mirrors that will give a spread of beams with a single beam hit.

/QUOTE]yes, edmund industrial optics and surplusshed sell them

    amoung others.

You might find one of those rear surfaced silver garden balls interesting mine was 9$ and worth it. If you have a 50 mm extreme wide angle lens you may find that interesting too, but you have to butt it right up to the galvos.

I have a bunch of wide angle lenses, but I think a mirror would be the best thing.

I looked on Edmunds, but all I could find were concave focus mirrors.

Surplus shed have some but they're second surface

    Yay!

Just to check that they are really convex?
The diagram shows a concave mirror...

Dang, they love concave mirrors over there.

nobody said edmunds marketing chick was bright, in fact she posed for a catalog cover layout that got letters of objection from all the national women in science organizations and most of the men in science organizations after the women poot their foot down.

Mmm, biker chicks. She looks ok to me, could just about pass for one.

Weird that scientists should be so up in arms about that. Where do they learn their logic? Why do they think that a woman is either a sex symbol OR smart? If they can't accept the possibility of AND logic there, they should look to themselves for prejudice instead of assuming they've just seen it in someone else.
