    Thanks for all who helped out!

    Adobe Streamline complained that it could not use Beziers when exporting DXF, so I had to use straight lines.

    I'll try these out and see what happens...

    Damn, that's a heavy frame isn't it? Looks good though.

    The difficult part is putting the points where they need to be and leaving 'm out where they just take up valuable scanning time, e.g., on straight lines.
    In that frame still a lot of points are wasted on blanking lines because the frame hasn't been optimized by sorting the paths/arcs. Implemented a algorithm for that that last night though, finally. Still need to make some tests on it.

    My experience is that 1500 points in a frame at 30kpps scanning is as high as you can go without annoying blinking. That btw corresponds to 20 frames per second which was really the limit for playing flight simulator on an old crappy computer

    Here's the result of my own vector to ilda conversion tool.
    The file contains 738 points.
    Because I don't have a laser here at the moment, it's not tested.

    TL: your file displays well at 15kpps on my scanner.
    Just curious, did you program that tool yourself?

    Made me look closer at the algorithm I'm building, managed to get the points down to 676 for 15Kpps (22fps). See the file if interested.

    @Zoof:
    Yes, it's a small tool to convert vector graphics to ILDA files. It also does some very basic point ordering...

    Thanks cruch- I got hold of Bill today and he is going to hook me up when he gets back in town. That program looks great, I was able to go in and read the help file to see what I am missing!
    Later, Mike
