Default running 2x projectors from 1x dac

i made a little box where theres 1x 25pin in and 2x 25pin out, so i can run two scanners from my fb3.

my 10k scanner seems to display ok but my rgb does not.

it squashes the y galvo (left and right)

even if i unplug the second projector it makes no difference, what am i doing wrong?

    Hi Andy

I've done the same thing to run two projectors from my PM25. So far I've not had any problems. The only thing I can surgest is double check for stray strands of wire crossing pins at the back of the DB25's in the box.

I tryed this with a DMX board but when I tryed blanking 2 laser from the one TTL output on the board the lasers output dropped by about half surgesting that the TTL voltage was being split in half. Although I was trying to drive two analouge blanking laser at the time. The X and Y signal worked OK.

Just had another thought. Is the impedence on the FB3 output OK for running two sets of scanners?

Did you try moving the rgb to the other connector?

andy do you have both projectors wired identically ?
you may have your single green wired for ttl and th rgb wired for analogue?

we've run three projectors at a time off a single FB3...

no noticeable issues whatsoever. wonder what the limit is...

Thanks for bringing this up. I wonder about this from time to time.

Hopefully an official answer can be found for the FB3 specifically as that is what I'm running also.

I had asked a similar question through Pangolin customer support.
The reply (paraphrasing) was that providing unusually long cable runs weren't involved, and identical wiring was utilized in both projector heads, there shouldn't be a problem. I believe very careful wiring & signal shielding considerations would probably make the big difference.

I personally have NOT tried this yet - right now, it's just a bunch of ideas floating in my head, due in no small part to what I witnessed at SELEM

    nope still not working.

it would seem my little 10k green works fine, but my big RGB does not like running in a pair.

maybe its something bill did when he tunned my scanners
