Steve-o, could you access your home PC via remote desktop? Sort of like hack your own PC to get PL at work!
I thought of a usb modem at work to dial up my isp but since I have DSL i dont know..
It;d be so slow,, a minute and a half to load 1 page.. those days are over
If I could access my router at home from work I just dont know too much about these networking kind of things.

guys really interested in running my fb3 wireless.

im assuming i could mount my fb3 in my projector and control it over the built in wi-fi from my laptop??

could anyone give me greater detail on how to do this?

    cheers

While it's not wireless, a friend and I have installed these in our projectors along with the FB3 and just put an RJ45 connector on the back of the case. Works great.

I too have used this style of USB extender on my easylase. It works a treat. As for wireless Andy, go back to the start of the thread - if you buy the software hes on about then you should be good to go using the laptop wirless

Hmmm... Shame, they do not ship outside USA or Canada.

Anyone know who does these in the UK?

    Hmmm... Here's my original message...

    Hi Rob

I looked at these with a view to getting one a while ago... Then the QM2000.Net came along

I've heard they're extremely good. It certainly solves the problem of getting long USB cables.

BTW, i've just bought some Cat5 splitter boxes so should be able to run the emergency stop over the Cat5 shortly

    Cheers

    Jem
Rob, I *Did* look at these a while ago, but it was an American website

Having said that, my memory is definately suffering lately. I think it's since I hit 50, the 'senior' moments seem to be happenning a lot more frequently

Any thoughts on how we can control the LCD projector at the next gig... Projector on stage, computer at back of hall???

    Cheers
