    Default Laser arrangement

Hi all, it's time for newbi corner and todays topic is "Laser arrangement"

I'm getting a CNI laser module with power supply and scanners with power supply. The two components can plug in to the mains which is great for building and testing, but what about when it comes to putting everyting into an enclosure using only one power lead?
What I'd like to know is..
How does everything get wired up to use just one power socket?
    ...and...
How do I know how powerfull an Amp has to be.
Can anyone post some Photos of the insides of their laser to show this.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Graham

Have you browsed the PhotonLexicon Gallery yet???

    http://www.photonlexicon.com/gallery/

There's loads of pictures of projectors in various stages of build.

It's probably stating the obvious, but lots of the questions you are asking have been asked many times before. We were all new to this game at some time or other. Use the forum's search function and i'm sure you'll find loads of information and also find that some of your questions have already been answered. Sometimes a quick search will get you the answers a whole lot faster than waiting for someone to answer.

Don't worry if you can't find what you're looking for though. Just ask and someone will be along to help. I remember only too well those first steps towards laser nirvana

At SELEM we took everything I have in my projector off a regular power strip/surge protector and wired it all together. We cut all the plugs off everything and wired them all up to a bus bar that lead to the plug on the back of enclousure.
