    Default Should I debounce this...?

If I wanted to add a "dead-man's pedal" to a laser show - that is a footswitch wired to the TTL blanking line (foot off = laser off) - should I be worried about debouncing the switch in the pedal?

I have to demo a laser harp to the general public, and I only want the beams on when I stand on the switch.

No need to debounce it but I would make sure the TTL input has sufficient static protection to take a long lead to a footswitch.
If in doubt a bzx85c5v1 zener on the TTL input should suffice.

The bounce in a spst or even dpdt mechanical switch is only a few ms x 2-3. Wouldnt cause any eye damage unless talking about direct cornea focal contact of 500 mw or so would be my best guesstimate.
