Default help needed with my new toy (fb 3)

hi guys, got my fb 3 yesterday!!!!!

set it up with my (first) projector, plugged in the usb cable, loaded live quick, turned on my laser (no blanking) and badda bing...... wow thanks pangolin! clicking on the various cues i was a verry happy bunny. however i cant get the other software to run. my computer says encountered a problem blah blah blah,

ive read that a licence or reg key is required from pangolin by giving them my fb3 board serial no.

i sent bill a message and still waiting to hear. when i get the reg key where do i input it?

also my galvos seem to make some noise (quite a bit) is this normal?

displayed images seem to be solid and cleen.

any info and tips would be great.
    thanks.
    scoot.

The License will be supplied in the form of a small .BMP file. You put this in the directory with the software...

a small bmp file is on my pangolin cd. it looks like a pngolin employee name tag with my name and a 4 digit number.

when you say put it in the same dir does that mean copy the whole cd to a folder on the desktop?

sorry im not that good at computerism wink.

Yes - you will need to create a folder.

perhaps c:/LAfreak , or something like that

The software will not run from the CD, as a CD is read only...

    What Dave wrote is correct.

There is a folder on the CD and the folder is called "LAStudio". You "Drag and drop" this folder onto your computer somewhere. It does not matter where, but "C:" is a good choice.

There might be a license file in the folder along with LAStudio already. If there is, it will probably work. If not, just let me know and I will send you a license file by email, but I will need your four-digit serial number.

    Best regards,

    William Benner
