    Default Filament Transformer Setup

    Hi,

i got an old EIL4000 Laser & Powersupply (~4W air cooled). There a lot of taps on the filament transformer for setup the correct power (42W...114W). How to determine which setting is good for me (the tube)?

OK you have a 4 watt peak power tube, in reality its 500-1000 mW or so CW.

Since you are saying EIL, I presume (well dammit I know) its a meditech supply.

OK that is a American 68B tube if aircooled, I will call a factory tech friend and find out.

yes, can be - never measured the output power. There is label on it: 4.2 W at 34A.

Anyway i have just a single phase psu - so i will never reach the max.
