I can try, my camera sucks.

There are no pins for jumpers, just spots where they could go.

The pot closest to the bottom is offset. The other full power. The way I adjust the current is to connect the diode with both pots counter clockwise. Then I turn the offset until the diode just comes on and then back until the laser is off. Then, adjust the other pot until the desired current across Mon/gnd is obtained. 0.198 would be 198mA. I am sure the resistor is 1Ohm. It is the biggest black rectangle on the board.

I think I've given up for the night. I still need to eat something and I am dozing a little. The onions for the sauce are making my eyes bother me.

Thanks both of you. It at least comes on. My lil 20mW meter is measuring it at 8mW and it is getting 1.86 volts. The TTL power supply that came with it gives it around 3, 3.25 I think. We'll check it out at the meet tomorrow.

Thanks again guys! I get some pics and post how it goes.

Oops, forgot about this. Here is what it looked like after I got finished.

I think I need to add a jumper on a couple of the "gold" spots there on the bottom right to get more current... I haven't tried since that first day. Maybe when I get home in a few hours.

    Not quite.

What you need to do, is actually cut the track that leads between the gold pads.

    the spread sheet here:

    http://www.die4laser.com/dvd-rec/Die...iles/Drive.xls

gives max current for different track cut / jumper settings..

You need to be careful here, cause it would be quite easy to over current the diode if you cut the wrong jumper...

    Aaron-
I know this isnt the right thread, but somewhere somebody said about these aixiz 60mw modules the heat transfer isnt adequate-- inotherwords the case-heatsink doesnt get hot bit inside the diode is burning up.. I'm thinking of a disassebly might be in order unless I can find that thread and the results Thanx
Did you get the d4d working yet?
