    Default dichros help

    hi i am a noob built my first green projector that works well decided to add red so i brought a green dichro and fired the red from behind it the green dichro does not pass more than about 60% red? should i have got a red dichro and reflected the red and passed the green

    Not necessarily. There are green dichros that offer a lot more performance than what you are seeing. Where did you get the dichro? Any specs?

    got them from uqg(optics)ltd in the uk

    Specification

    COLOUR:BLUE:GREEN:RED:Spectral Data:T≤ 5% Abs.400-450nm
    T= 50% 490±10nm
    T≥ 80% Avg. 520-760nm T≥80% Avg. 400-480nm
    T=50% 500 + 10/-5nm
    T≤10% Abs. 520-560nm
    T=50% 590 + 10/-5nm
    T≥80% Avg. 620-760nm T≥ 80% Avg.400-560nm
    T= 50% 600±10nm
    T≤ 5% Abs. 640-760nm

    I'm no expert but those specs don't seem very good. Check out the dichros that Edmunds Optics has. They are much better.

    There is a basic configuration for a laser projector. It was designed for a reason.
    I hired an Italian guy to do my wires. Now they look like spaghetti!

    rotate the dichro in case its a polarization issue, or change the angle of tilt. If that doesnt work call up One Stop Laser Shop in florida , or Precision Projection Systems in Ceritos California, or bjomejag on ebay and get a
    better dichro.

    I got my R/G dichro from there and it seems to perform as well as my Edmund's RG/B and was close to 50% less, although Edmund's is the standard and for $45, it is a small price to pay considering you pay how much for the lasers you are sendng though it.
